Free Comic Book Day: Joe Casey signs Jonny Quest FCBD Comic in Winnetka

The fantastic scifi-adventure exploits of 11-year-old Jonny Quest as he travels to exotic locales around the world with; his scientist father Dr. Benton Quest, his adoptive brother Hadji, his bodyguard Race Bannon, and his faithful dog Bandit. Join the Quest team in tackling new government assignments, solving mysteries and apprehending sophisticated villains for the betterment of mankind.

Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is the biggest event in the comic book industry—a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America, including all 3 of our locations, and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops! Founded on the belief that for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love, the annual event offers a huge selection of free titles designed to appeal to a broad range of age levels and their tastes.

We will have a special selection of FREE comic books (not just all comics in the shop), separated by Age-Appropriate content, at all three locations, on MAY 4th, from 11am-7pm (or till all of the books are given away).  Stores do not receive the books for free, we purchase the books, so we can’t have an unlimited amount, due to the great expense of running this event.   We will have a great sale (more info below) and some creators signing at each location, at specified times.

FCBD is also day one of the month-long celebration at OUR STORES ONLY, called FREE COMIC BOOK MAY, where we have sales and signing events every Saturday in May.  Keep checking our events as we post the month-long schedule of events.
