LIFE & DEATH OF TOYO HARADA signing with Joshua Dysart!

Joshua Dysart is considered an all time favorite writer by most Valiant fans. His amazing run that started on Harbinger #1 and continued into Imperium is considered by most the best story Valiant has put out to date. Very few will argue with that. LIFE & DEATH OF TOYO HARADA is Joshua’s final chapter of his Harbinger story, the book end which will finish his take on the characters.

We will be premiering our EXCLUSIVE Variant for Collector’s Paradise and WonderCon (which will be featured in March at our WonderCon booth which we share with Valiant) drawn by a superstar artist MIKE CHOI in his amazing new fully painted style. The variant is limited to only 650 copies and will debut at our signing event.

IN ADDITION to signing LIFE & DEATH… we will also premiere Josh’s new Graphic Novel from TKO called GOODNIGHT PARADISE, which is a very cool and original story about a homeless man at Venice beach trying to solve a murder of a teenage runaway. The book is beautiful and production quality is fantastic. Check it out and get your copies signed by Joshua.

Magic: The Gathering FNM Booster Draft

Collector’s Paradise features a weekly Friday Night Magic (FNM) tournament. Special Foil cards are given out as prizes to some FNM competitors, including Random door prizes, which do not require you to win. Below is information regarding our FNM experience: Time: Every Friday at 6:30pm Format: Booster Draft* Entry Fee: $13, includes 3 packs Minimum Players: 8 Average Players: 12-20 Prizes: 1st & 2nd place split credit pot of $2 per person entered, plus get DCI foils. 3rd & 4th get DCI foils (from Judge’s supply, not current month’s foils), 2 Randomly picked players get 2 current DCI foils as door prizes. * DRAFT RULES: In order to have a Booster Draft, you need 3 things:

* 3 Booster Packs / player
* minimum 4 to 8 players
* A supply of basic lands

Players are seated randomly at the table. Once everyone has found their seats, each player opens his or her first booster pack, chooses one card from the pack, and puts it face-down on the table. Once you’ve done this, pass the rest of the pack to the player on your left. Once everyone has passed their packs, pick up the next open pack with 14 cards(located on your right), pick the best card for your deck from that pack and put it in your pile, and again pass it to the neighbor on your left. This process continues until all the cards from the pack have been picked. You then get a review period to look at the cards you have picked and figure out what direction your deck is going (typically this lasts 60 seconds). Once that ends, each player opens his or her next pack, picks a card, and passes the pack to the right (Packs go left, right, left.). This continues as before until all cards from a pack have been chosen, and then you get another review period before opening the final pack, taking a card, and passing to your left again.
